Grace Groups

Grace Groups are intended to be a place where we can discover God’s grace through the Bible, experience God’s grace in community with one another and live in God’s grace as we engage in authentic interaction and relationships together.

Whether it is through a Bible Study, discussion group, accountability group or just a group of friends coming together regularly to talk about life and faith, living in grace is important to our journey.

It is our hope that you might check out one of these avenues of growth and experience the benefits of journeying with others in grace.

The current groups are below. Please send the Facilitator an email to register or find out more details.

Ladies Study on Daniel - 10 a.m. Tuesday Morning - Contact - Karen Snider (kpsnider@gmail.com)

Join the ladies at Karen’s house (4821 Wolfe Swamp Rd) for a time of laughter, friendship, encouragement and diving into the book of Daniel.

Ladies Studies - 10 a.m. Tuesday Morning - Facilitator - Linda Kreick (lindakreick@yahoo.ca)

Paul: A life radically changed after an encounter with God. Come and explore the book of Acts with us Tues 10:00 am in the fireside room.

Prayer Group - 6:30 p.m. Tuesday Evening – Facilitator – Betty Fraser (betty.fraser@outlook.com)

“Prayer lays hold of God’s plan and becomes the link between his will and its accomplishment on earth. Amazing things happen, and we are given the privilege of being the channels of the Holy Spirit’s prayer.” – Elisabeth Elliot

Join us in the Fireside Room at HFMC as we come together each week to be the link between God’s will and its accomplishment on earth.

As you come in, you will be given a sheet with numerous prayer items on it that people have asked us to pray about. As you read through the list, you may feel a bit overwhelmed but don’t be. Simply ask the Lord to give you one or two of the things He wants you to pray about that night and then pray.

Perhaps you are quieter and the thought of praying aloud almost paralyzes you. Don’t worry. You are more than welcome to pray silently or to allow your heart and mind to simply affirm what others are praying.

Whether you have prayed for many years or are just beginning the journey of praying, we would love for you to be part of this life and world changing group.

Uniquely You - 7:00 p.m. Thursday Evening - Facilitator - Pastor Craig (pastorcepeters@gmail.com)

This six week study looks at how God made you unique. Together we work through various tools which examine your spiritual gifts, passions, abilities, personality and life experiences. One of the highlights for many is the post-it time life timeline we wrap things up with. If you want to discover some interesting things about yourself and see where God has a place for you then come and join us.

Men on a Journey - 6:30 p.m. Friday Evening (Monthly)
Facilitator - Pastor Craig (pastorcepeters@gmail.com)

Is a group designed for men who want to help each other move forward in the journey to becoming men of God. The purpose of this group is not only to get to know one another better but to intentionally develop an avenue of encouragement and accountability.

This group meets monthly (usually on Friday nights) to share life, discuss some of the challenges we are facing, share some laughs and help to gain a fuller understanding of how to apply the truth of scripture to some of the realities we face as men.

Each time we are together we would look at some of these questions:
1) What is God doing in your life/done in your life since we last met?
2) What is one of the greatest challenges you are dealing with?
3) What is one thing you want us to be praying about/helping you be accountable for?
4) What is one thing you need to do/develop in your life between now and the next time we are
together?

Because of the nature of this group it will be limited in size and respect high confidentiality.

Men Further Along on A Journey (aka HFMC's Men's Group, 65+) - 6:30 p.m. Second Friday
Facilitator - Ed Adams (edandmo@adamsclan.ca)

This group’s expressed purpose is to develop and avenue of social and spiritual encouragement and support amongst men who have reached 65 years of age or older. This is intentional. Guys, at any age, including those in their senior years, need their peers to talk to, journey with and share or process some of life’s challenges that they are faced with.

During our meetings we take time to talk about what God is doing in our lives and some of the areas where we need encouragement, support and even accountability. We always exercise confidentiality with any information shared within our group
